Are all the specs the same on that page? If so, I take it its just a matter of which one you like the look of? |

Yep. In Prophecies, it's the tattoos, but in Factions any kind of armor can have ascetics stats.

No you can't get the armour unless you have the Factions campaign. It costs (including materials) approximately 155k. You can save 25k by using a Shing Jea or Canthan headpiece. You could get it cheaper by acquiring the expensive materials (damask and amber) yourself. Amber is currently 900g to 1k each. I based the price of the armour on worst case of paying 1k ea for your amber.

And, sadly, if you only have Prophecies, then your options for Ascetic armor are limited to the 2 1.5k Tattoo sets in Droknar's Forge, the 15k Tattoos, and Obsidian armor (FoW set with Ascetic stats).

I bet you could get someone to sell you armor. It would go great with the personalized axe you bought.
Just don't expect to be able to wear it. Seriously, stuff like this should be obvious to anyone that's been playing more than a week, especially you, since you have +50K. It took me forever to get that much gold. You must be a GREAT farmer. |

in anycase.. you will be clearly warned if you try to trade a customized piece(armor or weapons) that you will not be able to use it, so you do get another chance to back out

All ascetic's isn't necessarily the best. The +7 energy isn't really very important at all if you can manage your energy, but +10AL will help you take less damage (gives you ranger base armour). I use a mix usually.
